Terms and Conditions — SP Home Tuition

Welcome to SP Home Tuition. By using our services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions, which govern all interactions between parents, students, tutors, and our company. SP Home Tuition operates as a sole proprietorship and acts as a bridge between learners and independent freelance tutors.

Service Overview

SP Home Tuition operates as an independent aggregator and facilitator, connecting students and parents with verified home tutors, online educators, and small group class instructors across Delhi and Gurugram. We do not directly employ tutors but onboard them as independent freelance educators after verification and screening. Our platform helps parents find suitable tutors based on their academic or non-academic needs (including arts, music, and language learning) and geographic preferences. We also assist in scheduling demo classes and facilitate the first month's payment. After the initial month, the responsibility of ongoing engagement, fee negotiation, and class management lies directly between the parent and the tutor.

Fee Policy and Commission

Following a successful demo session, we collect 100% of the first month's tuition fee or full short-term package amount in advance from the parent. SP Home Tuition retains a 50% commission from the first month's payment for standard courses, and 25% for short-term packages. After the initial month, all subsequent payments must be made directly to the tutor. If the same tutor continues after an academic session or a break, the first-month fee is again collected through us with the same commission structure. No refunds will be issued once the fee is paid. Parents are required to complete the sessions covered by the paid amount. However, if dissatisfied, they may request a tutor replacement—either after the free demo or once the initially paid sessions are completed.

Tutor Relationship and Responsibility

All tutors listed on our platform are independent freelancers and not employees or representatives of SP Home Tuition. While we verify credentials before introducing a tutor, we do not assume responsibility for academic outcomes or conduct after the initial month. Ongoing interactions, including class scheduling and fee discussions post-first month, are handled independently between the tutor and the parent. Tutors must agree to pay a one-time registration fee of ₹750, which is applicable only after their first class is approved by the parent , and to pay our standard commission on the first-month fee each time they begin or resume teaching through us.

Data, Conduct, and Legal Terms

We collect basic user data such as name, contact number, location, and learning requirements solely for the purpose of matching students with suitable tutors. For tutor verification, we collect a passport-size photo, valid identity proof, and a resume before onboarding. This information is securely stored and never shared or sold. All tutors and users are expected to maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout their engagement. SP Home Tuition is not responsible for disputes, academic outcomes, or damages occurring beyond the first-month facilitation. Website content and branding are protected under intellectual property laws, and any legal matters shall fall under the jurisdiction of Delhi, India.
